Homeroom Parent
TEACHER GIFT COLLECTION INFORMATION
Homeroom Parents are responsible for collecting money and purchasing gifts for their homeroom teachers to be
be given two times during the year:
1. Prior to Winter Break (typically the day of the Winter Party)
2. On the last day of school
*A list of parent/guardian emails will be shared with homeroom parents for their section, less those who submitted a written opt out request to the FES office. You can always send a hard copy of your gift collection letter in with your child to be sent home to the unlisted parents).
*Give yourselves enough time to collect the money (giving parents a fair amount of time to (remember to) contribute), as well as to buy the presents.
*Please be sure the presents have made their way to the school to be delivered to your teacher on the last day of school.
*Helpful hints:
-Participation is totally voluntary, and there is no set amount parents need to contribute. Please keep this in mind when planning your gift purchases.
-Think Local! There are tons of amazing local businesses around with products that would make great gifts! It's a two-fer: the teachers get an amazing present, and we help our small, community-owned businesses!
*In your email to parents, be sure to include your preferred payment methods (an envelope with cash, Zelle, PayPal, etc).
