What Does the PFA Do?
The Franklin Parent Faculty Association (PFA) is an organization staffed entirely by volunteers whose primary mission is to provide opportunities for our students and support for our wonderful Franklin Parent, Faculty & Staff. The PFA funds, subsidizes, or provides volunteer coordination for many activities and events at Franklin.

- Sponsored over 40 programs, events and fundraisers.
- Provided back-office support and managed registration and advertising for 157 After-School programs.
- After-School programs had 2,867 registrations.
- Bought 850 red t-shirts for students and staff.
- Purchased four Pocketalk voice translators.
- Purchased popsicles and 750 "Get After It" headbands for Field Day.
- Rented ten inflatables for the upcoming Franklin FIERCE Fest.
- Awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a North Allegheny senior who attended Franklin Elementary.
- Bought three portable shelving units for students to store lunches during recess.
- Purchased recess supplies - jump ropes, baseballs, soccer balls, knobby balls and toss and catch games.
- Sponsored three school-wide assemblies.
- Coordinated and provided volunteers for winter and spring parties.
- Several Community Service Projects including:
- 90 pairs of socks, 150 placemats and 100 Color a Smiles to Vincentian Home
- 13 Thanksgiving Day meals to North Hills Community Outreach
- 22 Jared Boxes to local hospitals
