Franklin Mart

What exactly is Franklin Mart?

Franklin Mart is a school-supply shop for all students in 1st-5th grades held monthly to raise funds for every teacher in our school. The teachers will use this money to buy school-related materials for their classes. All items sold are $2.00 or less and available to students during their lunchtime just outside of the cafeteria.

Are donations needed?

Donations are optional, but greatly appreciated, as they are the best way to have a successful fundraiser for our classrooms. When donating new items, please limit them to school and school spirit related supplies such as erasers, rulers, notepads, highlighters (no Sharpies!), pencil sharpeners, pens, pencils, etc. No holiday-specific items or toys, pleaseCash donations are also suggested, as they are used for purchasing items in bulk at a better price. Remember, all proceeds go directly to our classroom needs. Franklin Mart Birthday Gift Certificates are also available!

Can I volunteer?

Sure! Please contact Karen Plotsko at karen.plotsko@alcoa.com .  The time commitment is minimal – it’s once a month, for about 2 hours over lunch time.  Help out when you are available, no need to commit to all of the Franklin Marts, just one or two would be helpful.  It’s lots of fun to see all the kids shopping!
