Megan DeFrancesco,

PFA President

Megan is a Franklin and North Allegheny graduate. This is Megan's second term as FES PFA President, with a year as VP previously.  Megan has been involved in several committees at FES: Holiday Shoppe, Elementary Night, Fifth Grade Events, and Parent vs Staff Volleyball Game.  The DeFrancescos have one child left at Franklin (Blake, 4th grade) and two middle schoolers at Ingomar Middle (Coby, 8^th grade and Siena, 7^th grade).  Megan is a stay at home mom to her three kids and three (!) pets and also serves as a trustee on the NA Foundation.  When on break from leading our exec board, you'll find Megan reading, dancing, and cheering for Penn State football.

Janet Sidor,

Janet is serving as Co-Vice President for her first year serving on the executive board.  She’s been a part of the PFA for three years.  She chairs after school programs and volunteers with FranklinMart and the Holiday Shoppe, as well as Field Day and book fairs.  Janet has two children at Franklin - Alex is in 5^th grade and Timmy is in 4^th. Outside of FES, Janet is a financial analyst for GE Aerospace.  She enjoys improving and streamlining cumbersome processes.  She is thankful to the PFA for facilitating so many wonderful programs as it allows her to be a part of her children's school life.  She looks forward to working with all of you this year.

This is Samantha’s first year on the PFA executive board. Her son, Liam, is in 1^st grade at FES, and she also has an adventurous 2-year-old, Benny.  Sam appreciates how instrumental the PFA was in helping her family smoothly transition into FES, and she looks forward to meeting even more wonderful FES families along the way.  When not in mom-mode, Sam is a corporate attorney and enjoys helping local non-profits in our Pittsburgh community through board service.  She’s excited to “get after it” and support our PFA as Secretary!

Sara Stone,

Website/Forms Coordinator

This is Sara’s second year serving as the Website/Forms Coordinator on the executive board. This will be Sara’s third year as chair of the FES Scholarship Committee, and she has served as homeroom parent as well as volunteered for parties and field days throughout the last 6 years. Sara has one daughter, Dorothy, at FES in 1^st grade this year. Her daughter, Evelyn, is in 6^th grade at Marshall Middle, and her son, Franklin, is a future NA Tiger. Outside of FES, Sara works for Carnegie Mellon University. As a West Virginia native and a WVU alum, Sara never expected to move to Pittsburgh, but this is the Stone Family home and she looks forward to continuing supporting her children and their education at FES over the next several years.
